PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER I

UNIT / PROGRAM: Festivals Division  STATUS: Plantilla (SG 11)


PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT: FDCP Central Office - Manila

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and supervise the International Assistance Programs of the Division, which include the International Film Festival Assistance Program (IFFAP) and the International Film Market Assistance Program (IFMAP). This involves issuing Certificates of Nationality, coordinating with the division for OMB clearance for necessary import/export of film materials, and overseeing the agency’s participation in film festivals;
  • Facilitate the coordination process, signing of agreements, and provision of support while receiving required documents from supported stakeholders.
  • Represent the Agency in coordination meetings with partners for logistics and preparations for participation activities;
  • Report to the Festivals Division Head and Management for regular updates, reports, concerns, and high-level approvals;
  • Coordinate with relevant divisions for internal arrangements and division support related to program executions and partnerships, including working with the FilmPhilippines Marketing and Promotions Unit to ensure alignment on participation in film festivals;
  • Coordinate with the Division Support Officer for reimbursements, issuance of assistance, and payment to suppliers and coordinate with the Admin and Finance Division for processing such;
  • Maintain files and records of all program-related matters and documents;
  • Keep abreast of international best practices related to the programs;
  • Periodically evaluate and make recommendations on the programs based on existing guidelines and practices;
  • Assist the Division in ad hoc responsibilities; and
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or any program relevant to the job
  • At least one (1) year of work experience
  • Career Service (Professional) Second Level Eligibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent in planning, executing, and monitoring of end-to-end phases of a project
  • Experienced in events management
  • Skilled at preparing and conducting presentations
  • Has strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates good attention to details
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • Can work under minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel to different locations if needed
  • Creativity and exposure / sufficient knowledge on films/ film industry are an advantage
